Prior to joining Rockcliff, Mitch spent 21 years with ConocoPhillips in leadership positions with increasing business, technical and operational responsibilities. Mitch most recently served as manager for ConocoPhillips' corporate Applied Geoscience technology group. In that role, he managed 40+ geoscience subject matter experts, and had accountability for developing and delivering geoscience technologies impacting ConocoPhillips' assets worldwide. Prior to that role, Mitch managed ConocoPhillips' highly successful Bakken development, presiding over a $1.0 billion+ annual development program running up to 11 operated rigs, and managing all aspects of development planning and execution, development portfolio optimization, well performance analysis, and reserves and resource assessment. Before the Bakken role, Mitch served in several roles managing ConocoPhillips' field developments in the Norwegian North Sea (Stavanger), the deepwater Gulf of Mexico (Houston), the Natuna Sea, Indonesia (Jakarta), and South Texas Lobo (Houston).
Mitch began his career with Unocal Corporation where he served in various exploration geoscientist roles in the Gulf of Mexico shelf and deepwater (Lafayette, LA), the Dutch North Sea (The Hague, Netherlands) and the UK North Sea (London).
Mitch holds a BS in Geology and Geophysics and an MS in Geology from the University of Wisconsin - Madison. He is a member of the American Association of Petroleum Geologists and the Society of Petroleum Engineers.
